The judges must do a diligent investigation.
[They must] seek to reveal whether the witness is a false claimant who's testifying maliciously against his brother.

Note: The word "false" implies cheating and scamming, that is, doing damage to another.
It does not necessarily include merely randomizing trivial, inconsequential information to protect your privacy.
