Crescenda Kills
OUTSIDE AT THE FOOTHILLS AT NIGHT:
Crescenda's mercenaries chase Opera Dog up into the mountains.
Opera Dog evades the mercenaries.
So Crescenda pays off-duty cops to range the mountains.
They capture many dogs and wolves.
Crescenda lifts her gun to shoot into the cage.
STOOGE COP
(hauls a muzzled Husky toward Crescenda)
Stop! I caught Opera Dog!
Crescenda looks at the muzzled Husky.
CRESCENDA
(to Stooge Cop)
I LOVE You!
Stooge Cop smiles, blushing as he imagines himself kissing Crescenda.
CRESCENDA
(orders Stooge Cop)
Now blow him up with this bomb.
STOOGE COP
But you said we' gotta' SAVE Opera Dog!
CRESCENDA
(chuckles, inspecting the muzzled Husky)
I want this dumb dog's ugly guts splattered all over this mountain. NOW!
STOOGE COP
But...
(speaks into walkie-talkie)
'Request backup at the dog-cages.
Crescenda kneels on the muzzled dog's neck.
CRESCENDA
(pleads to Stooge Cop)
Hurry up and rig the bomb. Don't make me break his neck. Look at his cute little brown eyesβ
The muzzled Husky winces as Crescenda's knee smushes his chin into the rocky dirt.
CRESCENDA
(yells at Stooge Cop)
You FOOL! Opera Dog has BLUE EYES!
Crescenda yanks her gun from her bra, shoots Stooge Cop in his chest.
Stooge Cop falls over bleeding, apparently dead.
Above, in the bushes, Harmony's eyes bulge in terrified shock.
CRESCENDA
(grabs and yells into cop's walkie)
That DogCatcher Girl shot your stooge cop!
Crescenda kicks over the cage stuffed with dogs.
The dogs howl as they crash down the mountainside.
Cops come running to see what's going on.
CRESCENDA
(yells at the cops)
These dogs are trash! I want Opera Dog!
CHIEF COP
Ma'am, there are laws against cruelty to anim-β
CRESCENDA
(screams at Chief Cop)
You cops and soldiers are trash too! You're ALL FIRED! My stage crew is here! They can do anything. They're Union!
