Jacob & Leah & Rachel Journey To Neck Ridge
Jacob leads his caravan away from Esau's path.
Jacob's caravan comes to Succoth [Tent-Town].
-- He builds himself a house.
-- He makes shelters for his cattle.
-- But Jacob's sons fight with the local young men over girls, so...
-- Jacob and his caravan flee Tent-Town;
Finally Jacob journeys in peace to Shechem (Neck) Ridge in the land of Canaan, [completing his journey south from] from Padan-aram, [the Syrian Highland plateau].
Jacob pitches his tent facing the city, [the so called, "friendly" city of Shalem].
Jacob buys the parcel of the field (where he spreads his tent) from its owner, the sons of DONKEY-MAN, (PRINCE SHECHEM's dad) for 100 pieces of silver.
There, on Shechem ridge, Jacob erects an altar.
