The AmeriChristians Unite ... To Do Nothing At All

UPDATE: I'm happy to report the Good news:
Some believers at last sent down some relief supplies for the abandoned children at the Music Monastery.

During the long wait, this is what we felt like saying:

Hurricane refugees walk up the mountain in a steady stream to our tiny mission house all day long, every day.
Thousands are homeless here.
Our own roof flew off, but our neighbors suffered much worse.
It takes the refugees at least an hour to walk up a huge mountain to get here.
Some walk much further than an hour.
We have emptied all of the many barrels of relief supplies that we bought and sent down here at our own cost.
The refugees are begging for more sheets, shoes, shirts, socks spoons.
Things the refugees REALLY need.

We don't have anything else here to give them.

We send out the requests to our "Christian friends."
3 WEEKS pass.

Then we get 4 letters from these American fellowships...
They just can't be bothered:
AmeriChristian Letter #1:
"Sorry haven't responded sooner [to your 5 hurricane relief pleas for help]
but we're terribly busy.
I have been getting home late and trying to get this house livable for us.
We have tried to put out word for [someone to come help the poor there]
but I guess the Lord doesn't have anyone yet that would be able to come help.
Times are looking like it will be rough here [in America] soon and many people trying to get ready and
prepare for family and neighbors.
We will probably start getting hit soon...
Our [new $20,000+] off-grid home power system is working well now.
Praise the Lord!!"

The other 3 letters are variations on that theme.

I know what AmeriChristians store in their huge houses:
Closets full of sheets, shoes, shirts, and cooking utensils, and everything else the Haitian refugees can't even imagine.

So much wealth and stuff that the AmeriChristians can't even begin to manage it all.
Garages, attics, outbuildings, trucks, cars, vans, recreational vehicles, tractors, and on and on forever, stuffed with treasure laid up for themselves on earth, in direct disobedience to the commands of "Jeezus."

That's why the AmeriChristians are too busy to come help their truly poor brothers and sisters:
It takes the AmeriChristians years to build a house big enough to store all of their stuff.

Perhaps if the AmeriChristians lived in tiny houses like the poor people, the AmeriChristians would have more spare time for charity.

I wonder if AmeriChristians ever read this in their pretty leather bibles:

James 2:6 ye have despised the poor

Matt 25:41 Then shall Jesus say unto them on the left hand:
"Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was hungry, and ye gave me no meat:
I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in:
naked, and ye clothed me not:
sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer Jesus, saying, "Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?"
45 Then shall Jesus answer them, saying, "Truly I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me."
46 And these [apathetic "Christians"] shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Luke 16:25 remember that you in your lifetime received your good things,
and likewise [the poor] evil things:
but now [the poor are] comforted,
and you all [you rich] are tormented.

Oh, but not you, right?
You've been saved by Grace.

James may have a clarification as to what "Salvation by Grace" really means:
James :15 And if a brother or sister is naked and in lack of daily food,
16 and one of you tells them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled;”
and yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is [your faith?]
17 Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.
18 Yes, a man will say, “You have faith, and I have works.”
Show me your faith without works, and I by my works will show you my faith...
James 2:24 You see then that by works, a man is justified, and not only by faith.

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this:
To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself un-spotted from the world.

22 Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Americans are always thinking about how hard they're going to have it,
while thousands are homeless and many are dying in places like Haiti.

To think that no AmeriChristian can take a week or two to help dying third worlders...

Dear AmeriChristians,
We'll send your message to the neighbors,
such as the widow whose husband died of a heart attack as her house filled up with mud,
and the old lady whose house and land washed away,
who is living in the borrowed pig house with her crippled husband,
that the church people are too busy preparing their mansions
to come here or even send help.

Maybe if we sent some pictures of the squalor these people are living in...
Oops, all of you have already seen the photos.
you all know how desperately needy these people are...

Maybe everyone is supporting the work of the other missionaries...
wait ...
what other missionaries?

Love,
us

But we didn't send that letter.

Why be another ministry/ charity guilting Americans into donating what they ought to want to donate anyway?

More practical just to make the music that the Americans want to buy, and have the lawyers send the money to charities we have visited, proven, and know and trust.
